Improves characteristics of fabrics, felts and other industrial and consumer textiles.
Fluoropolymer impregnated non-woven fabrics like fleece or felt materials are frequently used in filtration systems in various industries. Impregnation creates non-stick / sliding properties and enhances chemical or temperature resistance.
Impregnating woven fabrics with fluoropolymers enables non-stick properties and creates very easy to clean cloths– making them ideal for use as filter bags and in other applications.
Due to its excellent sliding properties, impregnated PTFE yarn can be found in woven fabrics or other textiles which are used in architectural or clothing applications where durability, dirt repellence and flexibility are important.
Impregnating glass yarn with PTFE dispersion prior to weaving ensures an evenly distributed fluoropolymer impregnation of the finished glass cloth that surrounds and protects the yarn rather than just the fabric surface. This makes it ideal for use in filtration bags in industrial applications with chemically aggressive surroundings or in high temperature applications.
High resistance to abrasion and impact damage makes woven aramid yarn perfect for aggressive industrial environments. Heightened chemical and temperature resistance as well as enhanced sliding properties are valuable in conveyor belts or other belting applications.
