How do 3M hand hygiene solutions help your skin safe?
3M assures that your hands stay safe with repeated usage so that you can follow hand hygiene compliance and do your bit to prevent cross-contamination in your healthcare set-up. The same is ensured by providing you formulations that are-
● Non-irritant and non-sensitizer (ISO 10993, part 10, 2010)
● Tested for repeated usage (Human cumulative patch irritation test as per GLP)
● Manufactured in state of art manufacturing facility complying with GMP
● Validated with high-end analytical techniques to ensure that there is no harmful degradation of the product during the expiration period
What is 3M™ Avagard Surgical & Healthcare Personnel Hand Antiseptic with Moisturizers?
3M™ Avagard Surgical & Healthcare Personnel Hand Antiseptic with Moisturizers having a composition of Chlorhexidine Gluconate 1% Solution and Ethyl Alcohol 61 % w/w). This product can be used by the surgical team to perform scrubbing activities, at the same time, it can be used for regular hand hygiene. The quantity of liquid required for both the activities is provided in the IFU- refer to IFU for the same. This is approved by FDA for both surgical hand scrub and healthcare personnel handwashing.
Does 3M™ Avagard Surgical & Healthcare Personnel Hand Antiseptic with Moisturizers have a persistent antimicrobial activity?
Yes. It is proven to suppress microbial regrowth for up to 6 hours, with immediate and sustained activity over time.
What is 3M™ Avagard Handrub Foam and how is it different from regular hand rubs?
3M™ Avagard Handrub foam has 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate and Ethyl Alcohol IP 70% v/v with a unique drip-resistant dispenser. The product is designed so that when it is dispensed, it forms a foam, which helps increase the spread on the skin surface and thereby decreases the waste.
How do we know if 3M Hand hygiene solutions are effective against microbes?
3M Hand hygiene solutions are compliant with all the standards (ASTM E1052, EN 1040-2005, EN 1275-2005, USP36<1072>, ISO10993, part 10, 2020 etc.)
