It is constructed of durable resin and can withstand most standard shop environments. The contoured grip and wide trigger ensure operator comfort and precise control. With only a 3 minute warm-up and the ability to deliver 4 lbs. of hot melt product per hour this applicator won't slow down production processes. An anti-tip guard swings down from the front to prevent the applicator from tipping and causing a potentially dangerous situation. During application this anti-tip guard swings up and out of the way so as not to interfere with work processes. We've installed a positive check valve nozzle to help minimize dripping. A back side on light indicator alerts the user to when the applicator is on and the tip might be potentially hot to the touch. What to Know About Hot Melt Adhesives Hot melts are 100% solids thermoplastic resins. These adhesives are engineered to re-melt after bonding if exposed to high enough temperature. The advantages of hot melt adhesives is that, unlike mechanical fasteners and sealing tapes, they are virtually invisible between surfaces. Our hot melt adhesives liquefy when heated to quickly fill gaps and wet the bonding surface. When they are applied to a surface, they cool, harden and reach their bond strength within seconds. Due to their quick work-life, you can move assemblies immediately upon application, which eliminates the need for clamps, fixturing or additional drying time and energy.
