3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape GT6008 is a 0.8 mm acrylic foam tape for attaching automotive trim parts to a variety of automotive substrates such as traditional automotive paints. A viscoelastic foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads, and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions.
Typical applications are attachments of exterior add-on-parts such as body side moldings, trims or emblems/inserts. Based the unique viscoelastic property of GT6008, stress is relaxed in the adhesive bond line so that durable bonds are formed.
