3M™ Wire Harness Tape 5078RV, Black, 40 mil, 290 mm x 50 m

3M™ Conformable Bonding Tape 5078RV is a 1.0 mm (0.040 in.) thick, black, double-sided automotive wire harness assembly tape designed to bond to rough or highly irregular surfaces, or in sealing and other applications where a highly conformable tape is required. It offers excellent initial adhesion, heat resistance and durability compared to conventional butyl sealing tapes.

Developed with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape technology, 3M™ Conformable Bonding Tape 5078RV adheres to many substrates used for automotive parts without the need for special surface treatment. It features a scrim layer close to the yellow paper liner. With its high initial adhesion and static performance, this tape effectively bonds to substrates with uneven surfaces. Its high molecular weight acrylic material construction helps reduce staining on bonded surfaces. It is heat and solvent resistant. The high tape modulus of 3M Conformable Bonding Tape 5078RV allows for ease of cutting, wet out and good workability. This tape is great for automotive interior attachment applications, such as wire harnesses, door panels, interior trim and headliners.
