3M™ Dynamar™ Rubber Curative RC 5115

3M™ Dynamar™ Rubber Curative RC 5115 is a liquid curative that offers fast and easy incorporation into solvent based FKM solution coatings. This transparent liquid has specific gravity of 1.04. It is incorporated as a rubber curative that helps to create a finished product whereby the polymer is converted into a more durable material with the addition of the curative. This happens with the formation of cross links (bridges) between individual polymer chains. Once the bridges are formed, the rubber is transformed into a durable, flexible and long lasting material that can be used in several applications, including head gaskets and gasket applications. Having a curative with good dispersion characteristics is essential. Poor dispersion can affect the final mechanical properties and potentially produce an inferior product.
