3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FT 2430 is a low viscosity raw gum terpolymer. With broad temperature and chemical resistance, this versatile product can be used in a number of applications, including injection and transfer molding, calendering and coatings. We recommend that users blend Dyneon fluoroelastomer FT 2430 with other fluoroelastomers to improve flow or use for coatings.

Durable Product. Versatile Use.

3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FT 2430 can be compounded using standard water cooled internal mixers or two roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typical fluoroelastomer formulations. The dry ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum. For best results, Dyneon fluoroelastomer FT 2430 should be banded on the mill several minutes prior to adding the blended dry ingredients. Once mixed, the compounded stocks have good scorch resistance and storage stability.



Importantly, Dyneon fluoroelastomer FT 2430 offers broad temperature and chemical resistance that helps improve product durability and longevity. In addition, this product is amine or bisphenol curable and can act as a viscosity modifier. With these features, FT 2430 can be used in a number of applications – injection and transfer molding, calendering and coatings.



The Right Size to Fit the Job

This product is sold in different sizes, so compounders and formulators can pick the right size for the job. Dyneon fluoroelastomer FT 2430 is packaged in milled slab form (as opposed to unmilled forms like crumb) and is available in a returnable bulk shipping container system for 1,320 Ibs (600 kg) of material. The bulk container system is comprised of 48 individual polyethylene bags containing 27.5 Ibs (12.5 kg) of product. Smaller quantities are available in 55.1 Ibs (25.0 kg) boxes.
