3M™ 5740 Series Cold Shrink Non-Shielded Splice Kit is used for inline splicing of non-shielded, wet/dry solid dielectric power cables. It is suitable for use in direct-burial, weather-exposed and submerged locations. It is rated for 5/8 kV-rated applications.

3M™ 5740 Series Cold Shrink Non-Shielded Splice Kit includes 3 cold shrink splice insulators, 3 cleaning pad kits, 3 rolls Scotch® 2228 rubber mastic tape and 1 instruction sheet. The kit contains an insulator/jacket that is made of EPDM rubber for quick and easy installation. The specially formulated peroxide-cured EPDM insulation resists UV, ozone, acids and alkalis and provides a long-term seal. This kit is perfect for use in solid dielectric cable insulations, manholes, vaults, cable trays, junction boxes and ducts. RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant .
