3M™ 8096 Series Cold Shrink Resin Mine and Portable Cable Splice Kit with flame-retardant compound 2131 is designed for splicing SHD-GC, MPF-GC and MPF non-shielded cables that are 5 to 15 kV rated. It provides splicing on draglines, power shovels, drills, type MPF underground power feeder cables and select trailing cables.
The 3M™ Scotchcast™ Mine and Portable Cable Splice Kit contains two 3M™ Funnels, three EPDM Rubber 3M™ Cold Shrink Insulator Assemblies, one 3M™ Wrap-Around Splice Mold, one roll of Scotch® Super 33+™ Vinyl Electrical Tape, two 3M™ Rubber Mold Straps, two rolls of Scotch® Electrical Shielding Tape 24, two 3M™ Funnel Supports, one 3M™ Cable Cleaning Preparation Kit, three 3M™ Spacer Webs, one roll of Scotch® Electrical Semi-Conducting Tape 13, one strip of 3M™ Three-M-Ite Elek-Tro-Cut Abrasive Cloth - 80J Grit, one roll of Scotch® Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C, six 3M™ Size C Bags, 3M™ Scotchcast™ Flame-Retardant Compound 2131, and one Instruction Sheet.
