3M™ Scotchshield™ Security Window Film S2400 is an optically clear, polyurethane-based security window film which, when applied to the interior glass window or glass door surface, will help hold broken glass together and reduce the ultra-violet light that normally would enter through the glass, the largest single cause of fading. Its polyurethane construction provides greater tear strength and elongation than PET resin films (of similar thickness) allowing the film to absorb impact. When combined with 3M™ Impact Protection Attachment (IPA) Sealant helps delay intruders and helps provide extra response time by slowing the intruder down.
Product must be installed with the 3M™ Impact Protection Attachment (IPA) Sealant for all windstorm, break & entry, and explosion mitigation applications and for all spontaneous glass breakage applications on single pane tempered glass. The product is not bulletproof and is not designed to stop intruders.
